AGRUPAMENTO DE ESCOLAS DE SEIA Activity and Eating- Small Steps to a Healthier You Be Food Be Active Be Healthy Be Happy Sharing Ideas and ideals towards a Healthy Lifestyle. Eating Well for our Health inspired the activities in October in our Agrupamento de Escolas de Seia. The Nutrition day is celebrated on the 16th but on the 12th and 13th we went to different schools and talked to an enthusiastic audience who heard attentively and participated actively in all the activities on nutrition knowledge and physical exercise. We also carried out some questionnaires on their eating habits. 184 young children and 14 teachers and staff were present in 4 sessions. They heard about the main meals, the importance of breakfast and ideas for healthy snacks, they tasted some homemade snacks, got their healthy plate by making healthy choices, they answered quizzes and they exercised. They learnt and had so much fun. The recipe book and the Booklet were very appreciated both by children and adults who can read them in any school library and kindergarten. We really made the difference and hope to feed the good seeds.
